wegweiser.tech is in Japanese now

The marketing page has a Japanese edition at wegweiser.tech/ja/, written for in-house IT departments as well as MSPs, with the Cases and Software Watch one-pagers in Japanese. The console and the analyses stay English or German, and the page says so. A globe in the header now opens every language.

wegweiser.tech has had a Japanese edition at wegweiser.tech/ja/ since 12 October, with the Cases and Software Watch one-pagers in Japanese beside it.

The language switch in the header is now a globe that opens every edition: English, German and Japanese.

The page speaks to 情シス as well as MSPs

No Japanese provider we read calls itself an MSP. The work is done by IT service providers (ITサービス事業者) and by the in-house IT department, the 情シス.

At 24.5% of mid-size and small firms that department is one person, according to a 2025 survey by ノークリサーチ.

Taking over a client's estate is 引き継ぎ, a handover, because オンボーディング means bringing a new employee on board. And next to RMM the page names the IT asset management tool (IT資産管理ツール): RMM didn't appear on any of the pages we read that were written in Japan.

Nobody on the team reads Japanese. Those choices come from 52 Japanese pages, read and counted on 12 October before a word was written: local providers, endpoint and asset management vendors, the Japanese editions of international vendors, and IPA, comparison sites and news.

The counts are kept with the catalogue. If a term reads wrong to you, tell us, and it's a one-line correction.

The page says what it doesn't cover

The console and the analyses are in English or German, and the Japanese page says so beside the prices. Prices are in pounds, and plans are paid in pounds or euros.

The compliance chips cover CIS, ISO/IEC 27001 (cited as JIS Q 27001 too), NIST and the British and German frameworks. They don't cover Japan's SCS rating scheme or IPA's security guidelines for small businesses yet. Mapping those is on the roadmap.

The page loads no web font and calls no third party: Japanese is set in the reader's own system fonts. The one-pagers are set in Noto CJK JP, because our PDF builder's first fallback was a Chinese typeface that draws some kanji in their Chinese forms.

The blog stays in English.
